Biography
I became an emergency medicine physician because I am passionate about helping others during their most vulnerable moments. It’s a privilege to be able to positively impact larger numbers of patients in my current roles as a physician leader, educator and clinical innovator at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
As vice chair of Clinical Operations in the Department of Emergency Medicine, I oversee the delivery of emergency care across one of the nation’s largest academic health systems. This role involves leading initiatives focused on clinical efficiency, patient experience, operational safety and quality improvement, to ensure the highest standards of performance.
I am also the associate chief health information officer. I leverage my certification in Clinical Informatics and my Epic Physician Builder training to advance data-driven decision support, clinical analytics and technology innovation. I have helped implement predictive models, reduced alert fatigue and advanced informatics solutions that improve care delivery and patient outcomes.
Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Clinical Informatics, I believe I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise and administrative vision to patient care. I have led grant-funded initiatives to improve care coordination and reduce emergency department utilization.
I’ve received numerous awards for my work, including recognition on the “Best Doctors in America” list. I’ve also received the ACEP Ohio Leadership Award and the Department of Emergency Medicine Distinguished Faculty Award.
In addition, my responsibilities include helping to educate the next generation of providers. I am a clinical professor of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
