Experience and Interests
Erika is responsible for management and implementation of all clinical courses for the Occupational Therapy curriculum. She is the chair of the Capstone Outcomes committee for the Academic Leadership Council. Her research interests lie in the use of adaptive sports to improve quality of life in individuals with disabilities of all ages.
Erika has a variety of professional practice experiences, including five years in management, and more than 15 years in practice with experience in acute and outpatient adult settings and expertise in pediatric settings.
She holds AOTA board certification in Pediatrics, has completed the WPS/USC Certificate in Sensory Integration and has advanced training in aquatic therapy and feeding with children. Additionally, she has experience coaching rowing and swimming for high school and adult able-bodied and adaptive athletes.
