Experience and Interests
Laurie has been a physical therapist in outpatient orthopedics for 30 years. A native of Columbus, she has been at Ohio State’s Comprehensive Spine Center since 2012. In 2013, Laurie presented on sprains and strains of the low back, compression fractures and fibromyalgia as part of a multidisciplinary program targeted to primary care physicians in central Ohio, educating about musculoskeletal spinal conditions and spinal fractures.
Since 2018, Laurie has served as the physical therapist in Ohio State’s interdisciplinary Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program which teaches healthy lifestyle and exercise skills for living a full and meaningful life with pain. She has a special interest in treating the patient with chronic pain and being a “fear avoidance behavior-buster”!
