About Me
I believe that every patient can be an athlete. I enjoy working with my patients to help them lead healthier, more active lifestyles. I’m interested in sports medicine, physical medicine, orthopedics and problems related to the musculoskeletal system.
I teach medical students, residents and fellows about family medicine, sports medicine and patient-centered medicine.
Sports are a big part of my life and I enjoy cycling in my free time. I’m also a team physician for The Ohio State University. I’m involved with women’s ice hockey, men’s volleyball, women’s volleyball, track and field, cross-country, and the pistol and rifle teams. I also help with
swimming and diving when needed.
I’m the medical director of the annual Pelotonia bicycle event, which supports cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Dr. McCamey was thorough. She listened to my concerns and explained things well. She answered my follow-up questions and did not start the procedure until she was sure that all my questions were answered.
