Leading the way in clinical nursing research
Nursing research efforts at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center are centered on creating a scientific knowledge base for clinical decision-making and advancing nursing practice through the conduct and utilization of nursing and interdisciplinary research.
The nursing research program at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center advances personalized patient care and promotes best nursing practice by:
- Supporting nursing research throughout the health system
- Providing educational opportunities for nursing staff regarding the scientific inquiry, the nursing research process and research dissemination
- Conducting nursing research studies in collaboration with nursing staff, College of Nursing faculty and interdisciplinary colleagues that result in improvements in the quality of care and superior outcomes for our patients
- Promoting the dissemination of our scholarly work from the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center through local, regional, national and international conferences/events
- Publishing the findings of our nursing research to advance nursing practices in nationally recognized and peer-reviewed journals
- Increasing collaboration among nurses within and outside the organization
