Medication cost estimates

See your estimated out-of-pocket prescription costs before refilling a medication. After sending a refill request, you’ll be able to see the actual cost while the prescription is being filled. If you’re receiving home delivery prescriptions, view a tracking number to check the delivery progress of your medication.

To access these new medication features, log in to MyChart and visit Menu > My Record > Medications.

Appointment requests

Your doctor may refer you to a specialist or suggest appointments, labs or screenings as part of your care plan. We’ll automatically remind you when you have appointment requests available to schedule in MyChart.

To schedule an appointment online, log in to MyChart and visit Menu > Find Care > Schedule an Appointment.

Two-way texting

For your convenience, we’re expanding two-way texting. You can reply to our text messages using the prompts provided. To get the most out of two-way texting, make sure you’re only replying with the keywords that we specify in our message. Responses outside of the prompts may not receive a response.

When you’re opted-in to receive text messages about your care at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, you may receive messages from two numbers:

  • Short Code 32493 will be used for billing notifications, updates or requests related to your visits, information related to your MyChart account, one-time passcodes and prescription reminders.
  • Short Code 42832 will be used for health care-specific topics and care-related updates.

If you text STOP, you’re unsubscribing from all text message notifications from the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, including important alerts about your care.

MyChart Bedside

Bedside features

A new MyChart Bedside feature, ‘Notes from Care Team,’ provides access to notes written by your care team during a hospital stay. Many of the features already available on the in-room tablet were renamed to simplify your experience. You or a loved one can also view your hospital notes using MyChart on a personal device.

If you need help with using your MyChart Bedside tablet during your stay at one of our locations, please ask a member of your hospital care team.
