February 2026 - Updates for all patients

Action for iPhone users

If you’ve updated to Apple’s new iOS 26, you may not receive important messages or calls from your health care team any longer unless we’re saved in your contacts.

Learn how to make sure you still get our messages.

Messages

We’ve added the ability to take bulk actions with multiple conversations from the list in the MyChart Message Center and mark them as read or unread, bookmark them or move them to the Archive folder. Select manage conversations to view bulk action options for your messages.

Visit MyChart > Menu > Communication > Messages.

Share your health information

New educational pages in Sharing HUB will help you understand how to share your medical records with providers you see at other health care organizations or with your family members.

As an additional security measure, when you share your health record with someone new they will need to enter your date of birth before they’re provided access to your MyChart account for the first time.

If you’re the parent or guardian of a child under 12 years of age, you’ll no longer automatically lose access to their MyChart account when they turn 13. Your MyChart account permissions shift to admin access until the minor patient completes this form to grant you full access.

Visit MyChart > Menu > Sharing > Sharing Hub.

Billing

If you have a financial balance due, your statements will now be visible on a single page. The minimum payment on your balance is $5. You may also share access to your information for only billing purposes; this person is restricted to view billing information only and will not be able to view your full medical record.

Visit MyChart > Menu > Billing > Billing Summary.

Test results

Tell us when you want to receive your test results. Choose to be notified as soon as results are available, or choose to receive results only after the provider has reviewed them.

Visit MyChart > Menu > My Record > Test Results.

Medications and pharmacies

After requesting a medication refill, you can view the medication name in the Medication Renewal Request message. To find nearby pharmacies go to Manage My Pharmacies.

Visit MyChart > Menu > My Record > Medications.

Personal information

We want to use your correct name and pronouns. Add a preferred name (if different from your legal name) and select your pronouns.

Visit MyChart > Menu > Account Settings > Personal Information.

Care Journeys

Care Journeys bring diagnosis and treatment information together in one place, reducing the need to tracking down details. Oncology patients, and people they share their health information with in MyChart, can now view care team members, visit timelines, lab results, educational resources, research study links and more.

Care Journeys are also available for organ donation, organ transplant, surgery and pregnancy. All Care Journey users can now view events in a calendar format.

Visit MyChart > Menu > My Record > Care Journeys.

February 2026 - Updates for OSUWMC patients only

Mobile app

If you use MyChart on a mobile device, make sure you have the latest version of the Ohio State MyHealth app. For your security, the minimum supported version is 10.3. Download the latest version from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

August 2025 - Updates for all patients

Appointments

When scheduling a new appointment, you’ll now be asked to verify your insurance information. View or update your insurance information anytime.

Before your next visit, you can verify your preferred pharmacy to use for any prescriptions. We’ll send you an email reminder or MyHealth mobile app notification when it’s time to complete preregistration for your upcoming appointments online.

Also new in preregistration, add your medications and allergies faster using the new search bar. Choose from our list or enter your information manually if you don't see your option.

Share your family history with your care team before your appointment using the new Family Tree feature. View and update your family history any time. Keeping your family history up to date online will help ensure your visit time is spent talking to your provider about your present health concern.

Secure password reset links will now only be sent to the email or phone number listed in your account settings. For your safety, no temporary passwords will be provided by MyChart Technical Support. Please add MyChart_DoNotReply@osumc.edu as a safe email sender to ensure you receive your password reset link.

When logging in to MyChart on a new device, two-factor authentication is required to access your account and add it as a trusted device. If you’re using a web browser to log in, you can now set a passkey for a more convenient and secure login without using your password. For an even faster experience, enable Face ID or biometric login on your mobile app. Manage your passkeys and trusted devices anytime in your account security settings.
