Physician, Associate Professor
Obstetrics & Gynecology
Department: OB/GYN
I became an Ob/Gyn because I’m passionate about providing care and support to women throughout all life stages, including the most pivotal moments. I admire the influential role that women have within families and how they give so much to those around them. I value patient autonomy and I feel it’s my purpose to promote, empower and educate women about their health.
When patients come to see me, they can expect a down-to-earth, individualized approach. I highly value the relationships I build with my patients, and work hard to meet patients where they are. I always consider a patient’s unique needs and desires – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual – when developing a treatment plan.
I specialize in general obstetrics and gynecology, meaning I care for women during pregnancy, labor and childbirth. I also manage gynecologic conditions affecting the vagina, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries, and perform a wide variety of gynecologic procedures and surgeries including minimally invasive surgeries.
I have a particular interest in the management of uterine fibroids because this condition impacts a sizable proportion of women. My passion for this work helped lead to the development of a Multidisciplinary Uterine Fibroid Clinic here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. This clinic offers advanced diagnosis and personalized treatment options for women with uterine fibroids and utilizes a multidisciplinary approach when necessary.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my two small children, and friends. I also make time for fulfilling hobbies such as bike riding, dancing, reading, traveling and all things Peloton.
Please note: Not all physicians schedule patients at each listed location.
My time as a resident influenced my decision to pursue academic medicine. Guiding the next generation of medical students and Ob/Gyn residents is among the most important work in the continued advancement of the field. I currently serve as the clerkship director for all third-year medical students rotating through Ob/Gyn clerkships at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I also work with medical students in their final year of education who have decided to pursue Ob/Gyn for their careers. I provide mentorship, guidance and education as these students apply and transition to their residency training programs. I am actively involved in the recruitment of diverse students and faculty to our field and routinely mentor and work with students at all stages of education to get exposure to Obstetrics and Gynecology.
