Biography
I am a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty training in multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuroimmunology. I am an Associate Professor of Neurology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and serve as the Division Chief and Fellowship Director for the Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Program at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
My mission as a physician is to provide excellent, comprehensive, and compassionate care for individuals living with multiple sclerosis and related disorders. I am dedicated to empowering each patient to achieve their highest potential through personalized care, transformative education, and innovative clinical research.
I have established and lead several multidisciplinary clinics that integrate neurological care with rehabilitation, and other specialties to optimize patient outcomes. Beyond MS, my clinical and research interests include neuro-rheumatological diseases, neurosarcoidosis, and neurological complications associated with immune-based cancer therapies such as immune checkpoint inhibitors and CAR T-cell therapy.
As a clinical researcher, I serve as the principal investigator for multiple clinical trials and translational studies in MS and other neuroimmunological disorders, with a primary focus on investigation of novel therapeutic targets to improve patient outcomes.
As Fellowship Director, I am deeply committed to mentoring and training the next generation of MS specialists and clinician-scientists, with a focus on excellence in clinical practice, research, and education.

Academics and research
My clinical and research focus is on multiple sclerosis (MS) and immune-mediated neurological disorders.
My research aims to advance understanding of disease mechanisms and to develop new therapeutic strategies for MS and related neuroimmunological conditions. I serve as principal investigator for multiple industry-sponsored and federally funded clinical trials in MS, autoimmune encephalitis, and neuroimmunology.
Beyond MS, I have a growing interest in neuro-rheumatological disorders, neurosarcoidosis, and neurological complications of immune-based therapies, including immune checkpoint inhibitors and CAR T-cell therapy. My goal is to bridge clinical care and translational research—advancing the science of neuroimmunology while improving the lives of patients through evidence-based, compassionate care.

She did a great job and talked with me about what was going on in the past and how my situation came to be and my family history and how it might have effected my issues. Very kind and very knowledgeable and she asked pertinent questions to help her and my self to talk about my situation.
Love her. She is the best
The care providers listened to me, answered my questions, and informed me of new medications that could help me.

She was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable about what was happening to me - medically. Respectful, answered all my questions in a way I could understand what is happening. I felt she truly cared about me. And the doctor who was shadowing her was just has kind, respectful, and seemed to be as knowledgeable as her.
Excellent provider!! Great listener! So knowledgeable!!
It was my first appt with Dr. Gyang, and lots to go over, and still more to discuss for both of us about my conditions, their impacts on my life, and the results of the blood tests that I have seen on the Ohio University MyChart App, and the upcoming mages next month of my legs and MRI's of my central nervous system for new images and to check my MS and new lesions on my spine from last year before I was a patient. I feel a sense of relief to be in her care and I hope that she and her team and the great doctors at OSU can help me to love the best possible life I can going forward.

Helpful
Dr. Gyang minimized my symptoms and failed to show concern for the neurological issues related to my autoimmune disorder. I had to continuously seek out information about my condition and what I should expect as my neurological symptoms progress. She failed to consider my reported symptoms since they were not apparent during her very simple physical exam. I even had to inquire about potential bloodwork, which was suggested by my referring provider. I will not be following up with Dr. Gyang for her inattentiveness to my concerns and lack of initiative in counseling me about my health.
