Biography

I am a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty training in multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuroimmunology. I am an Associate Professor of Neurology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and serve as the Division Chief and Fellowship Director for the Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Program at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

My mission as a physician is to provide excellent, comprehensive, and compassionate care for individuals living with multiple sclerosis and related disorders. I am dedicated to empowering each patient to achieve their highest potential through personalized care, transformative education, and innovative clinical research.

I have established and lead several multidisciplinary clinics that integrate neurological care with rehabilitation, and other specialties to optimize patient outcomes. Beyond MS, my clinical and research interests include neuro-rheumatological diseases, neurosarcoidosis, and neurological complications associated with immune-based cancer therapies such as immune checkpoint inhibitors and CAR T-cell therapy.

As a clinical researcher, I serve as the principal investigator for multiple clinical trials and translational studies in MS and other neuroimmunological disorders, with a primary focus on investigation of novel therapeutic targets to improve patient outcomes.

As Fellowship Director, I am deeply committed to mentoring and training the next generation of MS specialists and clinician-scientists, with a focus on excellence in clinical practice, research, and education.

Academics and research

My clinical and research focus is on multiple sclerosis (MS) and immune-mediated neurological disorders.

My research aims to advance understanding of disease mechanisms and to develop new therapeutic strategies for MS and related neuroimmunological conditions. I serve as principal investigator for multiple industry-sponsored and federally funded clinical trials in MS, autoimmune encephalitis, and neuroimmunology.

Beyond MS, I have a growing interest in neuro-rheumatological disorders, neurosarcoidosis, and neurological complications of immune-based therapies, including immune checkpoint inhibitors and CAR T-cell therapy. My goal is to bridge clinical care and translational research—advancing the science of neuroimmunology while improving the lives of patients through evidence-based, compassionate care.

Research interests

  • Experimental Neurotherapeutics in Neuroimmunology
  • Characterization of Neurotoxicity Related to Cancer Immunotherapy
