Biography

As an internal medicine physician specializing in cardiology, I see patients for a variety of conditions here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I have special training in adult congenital heart disease, and I also regularly work with athletes and pregnant patients.

My role includes working with colleagues at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as part of the Columbus Ohio Adult Congenital Heart (COACH) program. Together, we ensure patients with congenital heart disease have seamless care as they transition from childhood to adulthood. It is deeply rewarding to see these patients go through each stage of their life and to help them achieve their goals.

My clinical interests include an emphasis on cardio-obstetrics. I work on a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent care for pregnant patients with heart disease. I enjoy working with these patients to help them achieve their goals for expanding their families in as safe a manner as possible. I see patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. I also treat athletes, from a variety of sport types, for many reasons. My role includes completing relevant testing and determining if it is safe for them to return to their sport.

I like working collaboratively with patients to help them achieve their health care goals. I prioritize building good relationships with everyone who comes to see me so that we may figure out the best course of care tailored to their individual needs. I also ensure the patient thoroughly understands their heart condition and is comfortable with the treatment plan. This has been most helpful for them as they encounter other health care providers and specialties.

My role includes serving as a clinical assistant professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I am also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and an active member of the International Society for Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
