I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing with a minor in Special Education from James Madison University in 2007 and my Doctor of Audiology degree from the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium (NOAC) consisting of Kent State University, University of Akron and Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2011. I worked as a clinical audiologist at several ENT settings in both North Carolina and Columbus before joining Ohio State in 2022. After two years of completing newborn hearing screenings at the medical center, I joined the Ohio State Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery in 2024. My interests include hearing aids, diagnostics, and vestibular assessment. I hold my certificate of clinical competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and am a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Jessica Stiel has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
