About Me
As a vascular surgeon at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, my focus is on caring for patients experiencing heart issues related to their blood vessels with an emphasis on aortic aneurysms. I serve as director of the Aortic Center and as surgical director of the Heart and Vascular Outreach Network. My role often includes performing emergency surgeries, but I also provide long -term care to help my patients manage symptoms and achieve their health goals.
I have been in practice for about a decade and my patients have excellent outcomes. During the preoperative consultation, my patients can rely on me to always take the time to thoroughly explain their complex procedure, including the risks and benefits associated with it and what to expect in recovery. I am proud to work alongside an exemplary team of nurses, radiology techs, scrub techs, cardiac anesthesiologists, and intensivists to provide the best comprehensive care possible. Here at Ohio State, I have been honored with the Clinical Mastery Excellence Award.
I have extensive training and experience with research that is focused on enhancing vascular techniques and improving patient outcomes. I am currently the primary investigator on four clinical trials centered on aortic aneurysms.
In addition to my clinical and research work, my role includes helping to train the next generation of physicians. I am a clinical associate professor of Surgery and hold the Philip Barbour Hardymon Professorship in Surgery title, and I received the inaugural Teaching Award in Vascular Diseases and Surgery.

Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. A great doctor.
My wife asked why one part of my aorta was not fixed during the other two surgeries. She said because the surgery for that the incision would be in a different area ( I have two major different incisions already) Also said this one would be more dangerous if I needed it in 10 years or so. My wife and I could have went without knowing in the the future this next surgery could be even more dangerous. Something we didn't need to know at this time. Maybe it could have been phrased differently.

She completely dismissed my issues post op and was combative. She spent less than 10 minutes with me knowing how unhappy I was. Then told me I shouldn't live in the past when she failed to come see me in pre op when I raised major concerns
