Biography

I received my undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University in 2006. I then went on to receive my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the College of Mount Saint Joseph in 2010. I became a Certified Therapeutic Pain Specialist in 2020 and am the Team Lead for Chronic Pain for The Ohio State University Ambulatory Rehabilitation Team. I have assisted with the publication of the Chronic Pain Clinical Practice Guideline in 2018, and the revision in 2020. I also assisted with The Ohio State University medical center guideline in 2020, and revised in 2022. I am also part of a multi-disciplinary chronic pain team that empowers patients to live fully productive and meaningful lives by providing coordinated, multi-modal, team based care.

I was a member of The Ohio State University Synchronized Swim team and was a 2-time National Champion. In my free time, I enjoy supporting Buckeye athletics, attending my kids athletic events, hiking, traveling, and spending time with my husband and 3 kids.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 11/3/2025, Lauren Tiemeier has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
