Biography
As an electrophysiologist, I treat patients with atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia and implant cardiovascular electronic implantable devices. At Ohio State, I am able to place patients at the center of my care plan, where I have access to cutting edge technology and some of the most advanced research in the field in order to ensure that patients receive the best care possible. I enjoy working in a field that is rapidly developing to meet the needs of patients with heart arrhythmia. From a research standpoint, Ohio State opens many doors to test new methods that ultimately benefit our patients.
In my free time I enjoy reading, mentoring my children, traveling with my family and exploring the world with them. I also love to give back to my community. Improving the lives of those around me allows me to feel fulfilled as a father, a husband and a doctor.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Great experience with Dr. Houmsse
He was very thorough and listened to my concerns. He took time to review my family history which is why I was concerned with my symptoms. He thought beyond what my usual provider had done and suggested testing and monitoring that may give us answers.
