About Me

As a surgeon, I specialize in performing advanced endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures to treat a variety of issues. I am passionate about utilizing cutting-edge technologies to provide exceptional surgical care for patients with conditions such as obesity, metabolic syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gallbladder disease, and hernias of the diaphragm, abdominal wall, or groin.

When evaluating a patient, I take a holistic approach to their care. I believe the best care is delivered when a physician takes the time to listen to their patient’s needs. I work with each patient to identify their goals and values and create a care pathway that is customized to their specific situation.

In addition to providing minimally invasive surgical care, I am passionate about developing and answering important research questions that can advance the field forward and improve delivery of care. My research interests include continuing to advance minimally invasive and robotic surgery capabilities, improving quality outcomes and ways to reduce opioid use after surgery. My research has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals and I have delivered many presentations at national and international medical conferences.

My role includes actively participating in the education and training of medical students, surgical residents and fellows. I am also an assistant professor of surgery at The Ohio State University.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, attending Ohio State football games and traveling.

My care provider made me less stressed. To have a Dr listen to your issues is very comforting. I love that the Dr at OSU, has a team to help them. Other hospitals need this. It would put less pressure on the Drs and allow the Drs to hear the patient.
