Physician, Professor
Infectious Disease
Department: Internal Medicine
I am a board-certified infectious disease physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in diagnosing and treating patients with complex infectious diseases, including HIV and other immunocompromising conditions.
My patients can rely on me for high-quality, compassionate care and honest communication in every encounter. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of skilled experts to ensure each patient receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs and values.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am passionate about educating and mentoring the next generation of providers. I am a clinical professor of Internal Medicine and director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
Please note: Not all physicians schedule patients at each listed location.
My clinical interests are infections in immunocompromised hosts, especially HIV-infected and transplant recipients. My research interests are the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of opportunistic and metabolic complications associated with HIV infection and its related therapies. I am currently working on a number of AIDS Clinical Trials Group protocols including a longitudinal study of metabolic, cardiovascular and neurologic complications in HIV-infected patients who have had significant increases in CD4 counts in response to potent antiretroviral therapy.

Best physician I've ever had.
Always friendly and supportive
Always staying positive with my sickness . Giving me hope in life.
I've been a patient of Dr Koltar for 20 some years she is the best of the best .
Dr Koletar has been advising on my condition for approximately 14 years. She always spends ample time during our visits, explains scientific concepts in a way that's easy for me to understand, and asks my opinion regarding decisions about my treatment. I couldn't be happier with her.
