Biography
I provide risk assessment and counseling to individuals and families with a history of eye diseases, including inherited retinal dystrophy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and anterior segment dysgenesis. Ophthalmic genetic consultation requires documentation of eye diseases in the family, risk assessment, and incorporation of genetic testing as necessary.
I work to build the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences program in genetics of eye disease and ocular conditions by enrolling patients in genetics research.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Taylor Sabato has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
