Patients who are scheduled for a major heart, vascular, orthopedic or spine surgery; thoracic, intra-abdominal or craniotomy procedure or any other procedure with anticipated major fluid or blood shifts may be seen here.
A nurse will collect information about your health, fitness, previous operations, allergies and more in order to individualize your care to your specific needs. It helps prepare the surgeon, the anesthesiologist and you by identifying any potential anesthetic, surgical or post-operative complications. You may also undergo an electrocardiogram (ECG), blood or urine tests or other tests. The assessment length varies depending on the type of operation that you are having.

Martha Morehouse Outpatient Care is conveniently located on the western edge of the Ohio State campus.
Temporary parking updates through April 2023:
The west entrance to the Martha Morehouse Pavilion closes permanently on September 8, 2022. The new south entrance to the pavilion will open at that time and will be accessible via the drive lane located south of the tower. The parking lots located west and north of the pavilion will be closed through April 2023. The Martha Morehouse shuttle will be rerouted during this time. These closures will accommodate building renovations. Signage will direct motorists and pedestrians accordingly.

Free surface lot parking for patients in designated spaces.Valet Parking
Valet service is available at Martha Morehouse Outpatient Care, Outpatient Care Dublin, Outpatient Care New Albany and East Hospital and the following main campus locations (James Cancer Hospital, Ross Heart Hospital, University Hospital and the Brain and Spine Hospital). Valet costs may vary per location.
Valet accepts cash, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. After your visit, you can request your vehicle by:
- Presenting your ticket at the cashier podium
- Calling the valet team using the phone number on your ticket
- Scanning the QR code on your ticket
- Using the “Text Down” feature listed on your ticket
