Dr. Kami Dixon, MD

Medical Director, Moms2B

Hi! I'm Dr. Kami and I am the Medical Director for Moms2B! I am also a practicing OB/GYN in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I love working with moms during their pregnancy and after they have their babies. I believe that everyone deserves the very best care during and after their pregnancies and love helping our moms navigate this process. I am particularly passionate about the postpartum period of time when there are so many changes and challenges and am here to help you get through it! I feel so lucky to be a part of such a special time in someone's life! When I am not in session or delivering babies, I love spending time with my son playing with Legos, or baking cookies! I am so excited you are here and can't wait to work with you and your family!

Our Team

  • Registered Nurse and Certified Lactation Consultant
Hello everyone! I am Nurse Cece. I am from Columbus and graduated from The Ohio State University. After graduating, I started as a postpartum nurse in Dayton for 2 years then continued as a postpartum nurse for 6 years at Ohio State when I moved back home. In 2018, I became one of the lactation nurses on the same postpartum floor. My biggest sources of entertainment are my three boys; they for sure keep me on my toes! I am excited to work with all of you in and around the communities where I grew up.

  • Nurse Practitioner and Certified Lactation Counselor
Hi! I’m Leisa. I grew up in Columbus and graduated from the Ohio State College of Nursing. My passion is women and infant health. I have lots of experience working in labor and delivery along with postpartum. I have two little girls and we love to travel, especially to the beach. Spring is my favorite season because of my birthday and all the pretty flowers that bloom. Family time is the best time for me. I’m available to talk any time and I enjoy individual teaching moments.

  • Community Outreach Manager
Hi! I’m Lisa (aka LBJ). A little bit about me: I prefer coffee over tea. Fun fact: I’m a morning person and a night owl. I don’t have any pets but I have a grand dog, he’s a Rottweiler named Boss!

  • Patient Navigator
I am a Patient Navigator with the Dads2B Program. I joined the Dads2B team in December of 2019 and it has been an amazing experience. I am a huge basketball fan and lover of any show that comes on the Food Network. I have three children, an amazing wife and look forward to serving all of our present and future Dads2B dads.

  • Dietitian and Lactation Counselor
Hi moms! I’m Lydia. I grew up in Tennessee, which is a lot warmer than Ohio. I don’t like winters here, but summer is my favorite season. I love to spend time with my husband, my daughter and friends (outdoors, if possible — when it’s warm!). I’m a good secret-keeper and a friend once described me as an incredibly genuine person. My favorite foods are pizza and tacos, and I usually eat those once a week.
Merriya Roper

  • Patient navigator
Hi there! My name is Merriya, and I am a patient navigator here at Moms2B. Fun fact: I actually started off as a Public Health intern during my senior year at OSU, where I specialized in sociology. My passion is understanding ways to help people in the community feel more connected and supported to improve their lives – which is exactly what I do in my role as a patient navigator! I also really enjoy drawing, painting, baking and playing video games with my son and his father.

  • Counselor/Social Worker
I grew up out West, but have lived much of my life in Columbus. My husband and I have four children, two girls and two boys, who are now adults. Our youngest was born while we lived in Brazil for 6 years. I love getting time with my family, reading, art, a variety of music, nature and having my little house full of people. I have found that being a mom is both great and often very challenging and I love the opportunity to encourage moms as they parent their little ones.

  • Dietician
Hi! I’m Susannah. Before joining the Moms2B team, I worked with pregnant moms in Toronto, Canada for 16 years. I love watching cooking shows and I find cleaning relaxing! I’m a good listener and I look forward to getting to know you and learning from you.
