I practice family medicine, with a concentration on sports medicine and athletics. I specialize in musculoskeletal injuries, concussions, endurance medicine and preventative medicine.

I believe in partnering with patients to help them achieve their medical goals. What I like best about The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is our team approach to patient care. My colleagues and I consistently strive to improve patient care.

Sports are a big part of my life and I've completed multiple marathons, including the Boston Marathon. I was also a high-level collegiate boxer. I’ve been a team physician for the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Ballet and the U.S. National Speed Skating Team.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/25/2016, Dr. Walrod has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
