About Me
As an endocrinologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, my focus is on providing exceptional care for patients with diabetes with an emphasis on improving their cardiovascular health. I believe in a person-centered approach with treatment plans tailored to meet each patient’s unique needs and values.
I am proud to serve as the medical director of Ohio State’s Healthy Community Center on the Near East Side of Columbus, which focuses on nutrition, physical activity and overall wellness. I took this role because I am deeply passionate about expanding access to equitable health and wellness across central Ohio and helping all individuals lead longer, healthier lives.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am active in research and have been recognized multiple times for my efforts. Here at Ohio State, I have been honored with the Early Career Distinguished Scholar award and the Community Engaged Scholar award. The Endocrine Society granted me the Richard E. Weitzman Outstanding Early Career Investigator Award. I am also a fellow of the American Heart Association.
My role includes helping to train the next generation of physicians and scientists. I am an associate professor of Internal Medicine and the Endowed Professor for Research in Internal Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
