About Me
My priority for each patient and their family members is to provide innovative treatment strategies and education for their musculoskeletal injuries in order to expedite their return to sports and optimize their performance. I am a former Division I collegiate athlete so I understand better than most the struggles that athletes and active people go through when they are injured or have pain that limits their activity. Additionally, as a father of 5 children, 4 of whom play organized sports, I try to put myself into the shoes of the parents of the young athletes for whom I provide care. Knowing that they get the best care possible to return them to the activities they enjoy and ensuring their long-term health are what matters the most to me. I am a fellowship-trained Sports Medicine orthopaedic surgeon and perform open and arthroscopic procedures to repair acute, traumatic, and overuse injuries of the shoulder, elbow, knee, leg, and ankle for athletes and physically active people. My team and I also design non-surgical treatment strategies for sports injuries and conditions.
Having grown up on a beef cattle farm in eastern Ohio, I have the utmost respect for not only athletes but also blue collar workers in the fields of farming, public safety, and the military. I truly believe their function and contributions are as valuable to our community as sports participation and enjoy treating motivated individuals like them. My patients, their family members, coaches and trainers will often hear me ask, “What is your goal?” Many of them are surprised by this question because none of their previous doctors have ever asked something like this. Their goals are a major influencing factor in the individualized and tailored treatment plans I create with them. If you are a pro or collegiate athlete needing to get back into the game, a weekend warrior missing out on softball or sand volleyball, a cross-fitter, a triathlete, or if you just want to get back to playing backyard soccer with your kids, I will help you get back safely and as quickly as possible.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2022, Dr. Miller has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

Showed understanding and concern for my medical issue and treatment. Spent the necessary time for my treatment.
Diligent, acted quickly but didn't rush me when I explained my situation or when I asked questions.

Great doctor and very easy to understand.
Again no bad. The doctor was very thorough and clear. Very helpful.
Very understandable and explained everything well.
Dr. Timothy L Miller is a proactive, "let's get it done" kind of doctor. I like this doctor a lot.
Mr. Miller was very attentive to my needs and seemed to be concerned about my injury.
Very thorough and friendly
Also very nice, listened and explained everything throughly
Dr Miller is great. This is my 2nd surgery performed and experiences have been very good
Dr. Miller was thorough and explained everything very well
Dr. Miller listened to my concerns and even asked about my old injury I had seen him about previously.
He used the technical terms--and I'm glad to know the "real" words for things--but he sometimes said them too fast or without explanation. But overall, he asked me good questions, listened to my description of events & experience, and answered my questions.
Great surgeon , very nice and attentive.
Excellent communication skills. Took time to review my X-rays of my fractured foot and explained where healing was happening.
Very careful and thorough assessment of my progress following surgery. Listened carefully to any questions or concerns I had and answered all of my questions thoroughly. Very kind and encouraging.
Dr. Miller was patient with my questions and did present several options for relieving my knee pain.
Very thorough and knowledgeable. Took his time.
Dr.Tim Miller is a wonderful doctor. I am so glad I made the choice to come to New Albany, and choosing Dr. Miller to do my surgery. He certainly takes a lot of time listening to the patient, not making you feel rushed.
Always good
Dr. Miller is nice and thorough, but did not wear gloves to touch my foot/ankle and I thought that was questionable.
Dr Miller and his Team are terrific - I've never had anything but a terrific experience or surgical results. He's a good listener and explains things in an easy to understand but educational way. I've had both rotator cuffs repaired with no issues - they feel and operate like I was 18 in the gym. Everyone else I know with those surgeries can't say the same.
Great surgeon; had a knee operation last year.
The doctor was dismissive, as though he did not believe that I was in as much pain as I described.
He's personable and knowledgable. I trust Dr. Miller that i'm in good hands
Always listens to what I have to say and take that into account of what's going on.
Provider opened the record to find answers to questions about my shoulder surgery, i.e., # of anchors & procedure, explained procedure did not employ knots. His manner is confident, expert & considerate. I am comfortable in his care. TRUST!
I went to see Dr. Miller on my son's recommendation I was not disappointed. He was very through in his exam.
Excellent communicator, very professional and polite. Very knowledgeable. I am totally impressed with Dr. Tim Miller.
Dr. Miller was very helpful and answered all of my questions before I could even ask them.
Dr. Miller explains things in a way that the patient can understand. He is willing to spend as much time as needed.
Excellent, with great information of my concerns of my knee. Also, hope to have Dr. Miller at all my appointments with my knee concerns.
Great helpful.
No bad experiences.
