Partnership brings transplant care close to home

Initially, Jeff was told he was not a candidate for a transplant. That prognosis changed once Jeff met with the transplant team at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Comprehensive Transplant Center. Ohio’s State partnership with Mercy Health St. Rita’s in Lima allowed Jeff to be seen by Ohio State transplant experts close to home.

When 68 year old Jo needed a transplant, she knew Ohio State Wexner Medical Center was the place to go for her transplant care. The problem? Jo lives in Northwest Ohio. So when her doctor told her of a new Ohio state transplant clinic that opened near her at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center, Jo was relieved.
