Heart Express Care – East Hospital | Ohio State Medical Center

If you’re experiencing active chest pain or extreme shortness of breath (prevents you from having a conversation), visit the closest emergency department or call 911.

Ohio State Heart Express Care provides evaluation appointments for non-life-threatening cardiac symptoms, including chest discomfort, shortness of breath, leg swelling, heart palpitations or rapid heart rate. Heart Express Care is staffed by advanced practice providers skilled in diagnosing heart concerns.

Heart Express Care at East Hospital treats patients 18 years and older. Appointments are required.

Parking

General Parking Instructions

All parking at East Hospital is free. Long-term public parking is available directly across Hawthorne Avenue in the surface lots.

For Emergency Department patients, short-term parking is available just outside the Emergency Department entrance doors.

The entrance to our Emergency Department is on the south end of the hospital, on the Hawthorne Avenue side. The Comprehensive Wound Center is on the west side of the building, near the Emergency Department. Parking is on the west side.

Valet Parking

Valet service is available at Martha Morehouse Outpatient Care, Outpatient Care Dublin, Outpatient Care New Albany and East Hospital, and at these main campus locations: James Cancer Hospital, Ross Heart Hospital, University Hospital and the Brain and Spine Hospital. Valet costs may vary per location.

Valet accepts cash, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. After your visit, you can request your vehicle by:

Presenting your ticket at the cashier podium
Calling the valet team using the phone number on your ticket
Scanning the QR code on your ticket
Using the “Text Down” feature listed on your ticket
