Ohio State Heart Express Care provides evaluation appointments for non-life-threatening cardiac symptoms, including chest discomfort, shortness of breath, leg swelling, heart palpitations or rapid heart rate and elevated blood pressure. Heart Express Care is staffed by advanced practice providers skilled in diagnosing heart concerns.

Heart Express Care at Outpatient Care Upper Arlington treats patients 18 years and older. Appointments are required.

Heart Express Care is not the right choice if you are experiencing active chest pain and extreme shortness of breath (prevents you from having a conversation). Please visit the closest emergency department or call 911 if you are experiencing active chest pain or extreme shortness of breath.

Cost and insurance

Heart Express Care visits are billed at a specialist rate, which is higher than an urgent care rate, but less than an emergency department visit. A traditional urgent care copay does not apply to this advanced level of care.

We accept most insurances. At the time of your visit, a specialist copay will be collected, and a deductible and coinsurance may be applicable if testing is required.
