Welcome message from the program director
It is my pleasure to introduce The Ohio State University Medical Center Epilepsy Fellowship. This is a 1-year program for graduates of ACGME accredited neurology residencies. We have a tripartite mission to train future epileptologists that excel in clinical care, education, and research. Please review our website for more information about our program.

Program details
As a destination center for patients with epilepsy and related diseases from well beyond central Ohio, we leverage the latest diagnostic tools and cutting-edge therapeutics while simultaneously expanding our knowledge through research and education.
- EMU Rotation (5 months): Under the supervision of the attending epileptologist, the fellow will be primarily responsible for completing all long-term EEG reports, supervising the outpatient routine
- EEG reporting responsibilities of the resident, intracranial EEG reports, extraoperative stimulation mapping reports, leading rounds on EMU patients, and informal teaching of the neurology residents about EEG and clinical epilepsy
- LTM Rotation (5 months): Under the supervision of the attending epileptologist, the fellow will be responsible for completing daily reports on assigned patients (gradually building up to the entire list by the second half of the year) and all inpatient routine EEGs With the current EEG and intracranial EEG volume, fellows should easily meet the minimum procedure requirements as primary reviewer and report author (50 routine EEGs, 20 phase 1 EMU studies, and 5 intracranial EEGs).
- Pediatric Epilepsy (1 month): adult epilepsy fellows will work with our pediatric epilepsy colleagues at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) on their pediatric EMU and LTM services
