Co-Principal Investigator and Professor, Vice Chair of Research and Academic Affairs

Dr. Jennifer Bogner is vice chair of Research and Academic Affairs for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and a professor in the department. She is also the division director of Rehabilitation Psychology. She is the Bert C. Wiley Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Bogner is co-principal investigator of the Ohio Regional TBI Model System.

John Corrigan, PhD

Director, Professor, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Dr. John Corrigan is a professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and director of the Ohio Valley Center for Brain Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation. He is project director of the Ohio Regional Traumatic Brain Injury Model System and chairs the executive committee of the TBI Model Systems Project Directors.

Dr. Cynthia Beaulieu is a Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist, and a professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She serves as a co-Principal Investigator on the CARE4TBI study.

Kathryn A. Hyzak, PhD

Center for the Advancement of Team Science, Analytics, and Systems Thinking in Health Services and Implementation Science Research (CATALYST)

Dr. Hyzak is a trained Implementation Scientist focused on closing the research-to-practice time lag for individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Dr. Hyzak is developing and investigating multilevel implementation strategies targeted to the clinician, leadership, and organizational levels to advance the use of neurologic-informed care in community-based mental health, substance use treatment, and social service settings to improve the quality and effectiveness of care for individuals living with TBI.

Brei Miller, MBA, MA, ATC

Program Director

Brei Miller, MBA, MA, ATC is the Program Director of the Ohio Valley Center. She oversees The Ohio Brain Injury Program.  She is a licensed athletic trainer and has worked for the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center since 2013.  She received her undergraduate in athletic training from The Ohio State University, a masters in Public Administration from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs and a Masters in Business Administration from Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University.

Ohio Valley Center for Brain Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation also uses the resources of an advisory council to provide oversight, direction and input into center activities. The council is composed of representatives from Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Virginia and West Virginia. Representation includes persons with brain injury, family members and caregivers, representatives of state brain injury associations, representatives of state government departments responsible for services, and advocates. The Advisory Council meets semi-annually in Columbus, Ohio.
