An important update regarding our participation with Humana Medicare Advantage and Medicaid Plans
Thank you for trusting The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and The James with your care. We want to share an important update about Humana health insurance plans that could affect your ability to receive care with us.
Humana has ended their Medicare Advantage and Medicaid contracts with the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and The James effective Oct. 1, 2026. We’re disappointed that Humana has decided to end our contract. However, Humana has stated that patients who are currently receiving treatment can continue care with their physician for up to 90 days after Oct. 1.
Right now, we’re focused on helping our patients understand their options for continuing care with us. We know how important it is for you to have access to the care, physicians and services you depend on at the Wexner Medical Center and The James.
