Experience and Interests
Amelia has been a PT at Dodd Rehab Hospital since 2001, and now splits her time between clinical care and as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Division of Physical Therapy at the university.  Her clinical and teaching interests include neurologic and geriatric health conditions, with a special interest in stroke.  She has treated patients in each specialty service at the hospital, including brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and amputation. 

Her research interests relate to knowledge translation, standardizing outcome measures, and building a PT system of learning within the academic medical center. Amelia is a neurologic residency faculty member, and is involved in the Academy of Neurologic PT, as the Co-Chair of a Knowledge Translation Task Force and on the nominating committee of the Stroke Special Interest Group.
