Inpatient rehabilitation outcomes

Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital is recognized nationally for its excellence in inpatient rehabilitation services.

1090 inpatient rehabilitation patientsIn 2024, Dodd Hospital treated 1,090 people across a wide range of conditions. This included 233 patients recovering from strokes, 176 with brain injuries, 133 with spinal cord injuries, 49 undergoing neurological rehabilitation, 178 with cancer, 74 patients with amputations, 50 individuals with multiple traumas and 370 receiving general rehabilitation care.

About 59% of people we treated were male and 41% were female, and the average length of stay across all conditions and programs was 14 days. People flourish in our rehabilitation programs, with 77.4% of patients discharged to their home after leaving Dodd – 93.3% of all patients were in their own homes within 90 days of hospital discharge.

Outpatient rehabilitation outcomes

We bring the same quality and compassion of our inpatient care to our outpatient rehabilitation programs.

8378 outpatient rehabilitation patientsOur expert physiatrists and therapists offer these services at locations throughout central Ohio. In 2024, we treated 8,378 patients in outpatient rehabilitation. This included 374 stroke patients, 248 brain injury patients, 248 Parkinson’s disease patients, 233 concussion patients, 225 vestibular patients, 155 spinal cord injury patients, 123 multiple sclerosis patients, 83 amputee patients, 81 post-Covid patients, 80 cerebral palsy patients, 73 neurological disorder patients and 69 cancer patients.

On average, each of these patients had between six to 10 therapy appointments with one of our expert providers, demonstrating just how effective our outpatient services can be.
