About Me

I specialize in cognitive disorders and dementias, including Alzheimer's disease.

The care I provide takes into account that every patient is unique. They come with different talents, varied experiences and diverse environmental and family circumstances.

After a thorough evaluation, I can determine the diagnosis and create a personalized care plan for the patient’s specific medical needs.

Every patient and family deserves to be informed and educated on their medical issues and potential research opportunities. Patients at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center benefit from new discoveries and scientific advances as we strive to provide you with the best possible care.

Dr. Scharre has been a huge help to my dad since the first time I called him. He has gone above and beyond to help with my dad and his Lewy Body dementia. I wish we would have found Dr. Scharre sooner. I think if we would have seen Dr. Scharre a year or more ago, it would have saved my dad some heart ache and made him more comfortable.
