Whether the pain, injury or problem in your foot or ankle is just frustrating or completely debilitating, here you’ll find expert care using the latest techniques and technologies.
From total ankle replacement to deformity correction to foot fracture treatment, the orthopedic specialists at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center can help. Our foot and ankle practice is backed by the research and education that only happens at a hospital affiliated with a major academic medical center.
From diagnosis to surgery to rehabilitation, our board-certified podiatric foot and ankle surgeons and clinical care team provide personalized treatment for foot and ankle injuries, trauma, deformities, diseases and conditions.
When you come to one of our clinics, you’ll meet with one of our orthopedic specialists and undergo a physical exam and thorough medical history. If necessary, your doctor will order on-site X-rays of your foot or ankle, or additional imaging studies, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
An X-ray helps your doctor see inside your internal structure to reveal possible damage to bones or dense tissue. An MRI gives us detailed, high-resolution images of your bones, joints and surrounding soft tissues, such as tendons, ligaments and muscles. It can show your doctor if you have any structural damage, deterioration or abnormalities.
Using these findings, your treating physician will assess your condition and develop a personalized treatment plan. Your treatment plan may include non-surgical treatment options or therapies, outpatient surgery or referral to one of our other specialists.
