  • slow or reverse the effects of aging
  • improve skin tone and texture
  • change a feature
  • repair appearance following an accident or injury
  • restore facial movement

Reconstruction and Paralysis

Reconstruction-and-ParalysisSpecialized, Compassionate Care

Some of the most important work we do is in the area of facial reconstruction and paralysis. Patients who have suffered from an illness, injury or accident deserve special care and healing.

It’s likely that you’ve already endured significant physical or emotional challenges related to your health, so our goal is to repair any resulting damage to your face or neck so you can recover more fully. You will always be treated with respect and empathy.

Your case may require meticulous technique and careful planning, but we believe you will feel more confident knowing you’re in the care of a board certified expert who routinely performs these very intricate surgeries. Your Ohio State facial surgeon has not only completed additional specialized training, but is also committed to the continuing education and research required to stay current on the latest techniques.

Let’s work together to get you back to life.

About Facial Surgery

About-Facial-SurgeryFinding the New You Through Surgery

While we offer a full range of nonsurgical treatments, there are some facial issues that can only be addressed through surgery. At Ohio State, you’ll be cared for by one of our board certified facial plastic surgeons and a support team of health care professionals. All are dedicated to your comfort and personal well-being.

Many procedures can be completed under local anesthesia on an outpatient basis, and you can expect to return home the same day. More complicated cases deserve the level of care only available through an inpatient stay. Ultimately, we’ll work together to decide what works best for your situation, and because facial surgery is typically elective, we can plan procedures to fit your schedule.

Whatever treatment you choose, our physicians will take the time to explain every detail of your care so you know what to expect before, during and after surgery. Follow-up not only ensures an optimal final result, but also gives us an opportunity to discuss any lingering concerns you might have or to explore additional procedures you might want.

Just for Men

Just-For-MenBe Your Best

We regularly treat men — you care about your appearance, too — so don’t let assumptions about facial plastics limit your choices.

The most sought-after procedures include office-based injectables, rhinoplasty (or nose jobs), eyelid surgery and face-lifts. Of course, we can address other issues as well. And general skin care and anti-aging treatments are equally relevant to men, so don’t hesitate to set that first consultation appointment.
