Background: I specialize in Ayurveda, a comprehensive, multi-strategy, prevention-oriented system of healthcare that originated in India. Ayurveda includes personalized recommendations for diet and digestion, lifestyle, life-enhancing behaviors, herbal mixtures, rejuvenation therapies, detoxification therapies, self-massage, breathing exercises, and meditation. I include these modalities in my practice and it is a good feeling to see the patient’s health improve. I have been practicing Ayurveda at OSU Integrative Medicine since its inception in 2005, and have conducted extensive research on the various modalities of Ayurveda. I am Professor Emeritus and former Director of the Division of Cancer Prevention and Natural Products Research at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I have published more than 150 research papers and authored/coauthored six books in the area of Ayurveda, including Ayurvedic Healing and Dynamic DNA.
Hobbies: I enjoy reading, gaining and sharing knowledge, and spiritual group discussions.
