Integrated health and wellness classes can help improve your well-being
Ohio State Center for Integrative Health offers a wide variety of classes from low impact fitness to restorative yoga that enhance your physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and social well-being. Studies suggest that practicing tai chi may have a variety of health benefits, such as better balance, reduced back and knee pain, and a better quality of life for people with heart disease, cancer and other chronic illnesses. Research has also shown that Qi Gong’s slow meditative movements and focused awareness on healing may reduce fibromyalgia and chronic neck pain, improve immune function and promote general wellness.

Ohio State Integrative Medicine is offering small-group sessions teaching professionals techniques in mindfulness and resiliency for the high-stress environment of the modern world.
Prana is the vital life force and Pranayama is the process by which this life force is balanced and increased. Prana and mind are intricately linked – when the prana is balanced, the mind is balanced as well. Pranayama balances both sides of the brain and balances emotional responses. It calms the mind and removes tension and anxiety. Pranayama creates vitality and enhanced energy. The enhanced vital force that results from Pranayama is beneficial for health and all aspects of life.
Pranayama Group Instruction is taught monthly in two sessions.

Spontaneous Meditation is a natural and simple technique of consciousness that strengthens and supports both the mind and body to enhance health and well-being. This technique is not based on concentration, contemplation, or manipulation of the mind. During meditation the mind is spontaneously opened to and nourished by the underlying field which is the infinite source of energy, intelligence, and bliss. Spontaneous Meditation connects one to the wholeness of life, improving all aspects of health and wellness. In this program you will also learn a breathing exercise. Sessions made up of 3 classes are offered monthly.
