Meet Dr. Klatt: Mindfulness in Motion pioneer

For over two decades, Maryanna Klatt, PhD, has developed, researched and validated mindfulness-based interventions across high-stress populations. As the director of the Ohio State Center for Integrative Health and a clinical professor of Family and Community Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Dr. Klatt has researched simple ways to reduce the risk of stress-related chronic illness for employees of high-stress work environments.
Dr. Klatt was trained in mindfulness meditation at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and is a certified integrative yoga therapy instructor. She combines yoga, mindfulness meditation and diaphragmatic breathing in her teaching and research.
Dr. Klatt has presented her robust body of research at numerous national and international scientific conferences. Contributing to creating a more mindful workforce has been the joy of her professional life.

Jacqueline Caputo, MPH
MIM Project Manager
Jacqueline is passionate about connecting people to mindfulness, breathwork and meditation. She assists with research and analysis on how MIM benefits participants. She also leads facilitator training for the program.

Ashima Goyal Bhanot, MMS, PA-C
MIM Outreach Specialist
Ashima Goyal Bhanot is an oncology physician assistant with 20 years of experience, including at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. As a provider, she benefited from the Mindfulness in Motion Program and now focuses on bringing it to others.

Yulia Mulugeta
MIM Clinical Research Coordinator
Yulia coordinates all research projects in the lab, including developing a mobile app to train adults with sickle cell disease in mindfulness-based pain management.

Nina Knight
MIM Project Coordinator
Nina is a registered yoga teacher passionate about promoting awareness and advancing research in meditation, yoga and other aspects of integrative medicine. She assists with research, media relations and technology.
