The Burn Clinic at McCampbell Hall is part of Ohio State's Comprehensive Burn Center — specializing in the care of burns, complex wounds and serious skin conditions. The Burn Clinic provides care for patients who do not require hospitalization, as well as those who may be recovering from prior hospitalization in our Burn Center.

The Emergency General Surgery Clinic at McCambell Hall is part of The Division of Trauma, Critical Care and Burn – specializing in the care of critically ill patients who have been seen at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Emergency Surgeries Services included but not limited to treatment of:

  • Gastrointestinal Perforation/Ischemia/Obstruction/Hemorrhage
  • Colitis/Diverticulitis/other Colon Emergencies
  • Hepatobiliary Infection/Obstruction
  • Cholecystitis
  • Necrotizing Soft Tissue Infections/Necrotizing Fasciitis
  • Severe or Necrotizing Pancreatitis
  • Intra-Abdominal Infection

Infectious Disease Care

Patients receive outpatient care for serious and life-threatening infections here, with approximately 75 percent in the field of HIV medicine and 25 percent receiving consultative care for other infectious diseases, sometimes as hospital follow-ups.

Our HIV-infected patients benefit from the presence of the on-site National Institutes of Health-funded AIDS Clinical Trials Unit, which includes our faculty, research nurses, a study pharmacist and other support staff as well as access to the latest multi-center clinical trials.

A representative of the AIDS Resource Center (ARC) is on-call, or a meeting can be scheduled. Phlebotomy is performed on site.

Consultation with other medical sub-specialties and support services such as nutrition, PICC line placement and routine X-rays are available in the clinic facility.

Nephrology Clinical Trials Unit

Nephrology patients can participate in research studies at the Nephrology Clinical Trials Unit, where Ohio State scientists are investigating treatment of hypertension, lupus, anemia and many other nephrology-related studies.

Neurosurgeons are concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of disorders that affect the entire nervous system. This includes the spinal column, spinal cord and peripheral nerves as well as the brain. Ohio State’s Neurosurgery Clinic offers comprehensive, leading-edge care in all aspects of neurosurgery. Combining clinical care with research allows our physicians to convert discoveries into therapies, thereby enhancing this highly specialized field.

Please arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to check in at our registration desk.

Please bring the following items to your appointment:

  • A referral from your primary care provider - check with your insurance company to find out if you need to obtain a referral before you can see a specialist physician
  • X-rays, notes, reports or any other documentation regarding your condition from a referring physician
  • Insurance card, photo ID and co-payment

Recommended Parking

Parking Discounts for Patients and Their Visitors
Reduced parking rates are available for patients and their visitors for all hospital visitor garages (12thSafeAuto and North Cannon and South Cannon.) The reduced rate parking validation allows you to park for $2 per exit or for each day you remain parked in the garage. Validations can be obtained at the information desk and you must bring your garage ticket with you for proper validation. Patients and their visitors can get parking validations at registration or at any Information Desk located throughout the hospital.

Free Transportation
Free transportation is available for patients and visitors to and from the medical center parking garages and buildings. View options.

Valet Parking
Valet parking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for $8 at the main entrance of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, 450 W. 10th Ave.

Handicapped Parking
Handicapped accessible parking is available next to the building and in all garages on the medical center campus. Additional parking is located in the SAFEAUTO Garage at 1585 Westpark St. It is connected to the Medical Center by a second-floor covered walkway. For those with mobility challenges, please drop off at Davis Outpatient Care entrance on Medical Center Drive before parking your vehicle.

Special Instructions

Cannon Drive, between 12th Avenue and John Herrick Drive, is now open. Lane closures along Cannon Drive will occur in July for roadway re-striping, but traffic will be maintained in both directions.
