When you have an illness or injury that can’t wait, Ohio State provides urgent care options to connect you with the exact care you need, when you need it.
Our Hilliard Station and Rocky Fork Gahanna locations are led by highly qualified nurse practitioners and physician assistants who can diagnose and treat minor to moderate non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries and write prescriptions if medically appropriate.

Ohio State Orthopedic Urgent Care provides weekday walk-in urgent care for sports- and activity-related injuries that have occurred within the last two weeks. Our advanced level of care is led by orthopedic and sports medicine physicians skilled in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries to bones, joints, ligaments, fascia, tendons and muscles.
Behavioral Health Urgent Care provides weekday walk-in care and in-person or virtual appointments for immediate mental health needs like depression or anxiety. It’s designed to provide an effective alternative to coming to the Emergency Department for a medication adjustment or other issue that doesn’t require hospitalization. Care is led by mental health providers skilled in diagnosing and treating mental and behavioral health concerns and can provide resources and encourage linkage to long-term mental health providers. A traditional urgent care copay does not apply to this advanced level of urgent care. A deductible and coinsurance may apply.
Other options for less urgent conditions
Heart Express Care provides evaluation appointments for non-life-threatening cardiac symptoms, including chest discomfort, shortness of breath, leg swelling, heart palpitations or rapid heart rate and elevated blood pressure. Heart Express Care is staffed by advanced practice providers skilled in diagnosing heart concerns.

Ohio State Orthopedic Urgent Care provides urgent care for sports- and activity-related injuries that have occurred within the last 2 weeks. Orthopedic and sports medicine physicians provide an advanced level of care, and all providers are skilled in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries to bones, joints, ligaments, fascia, tendons and muscles. What makes Ohio State Orthopedic Urgent Care unique is the potential opportunity to consult with an orthopedic specialist in your initial visit they can expedite care to non-operative and surgical interventions to help return to their sport or activity sooner.
If urgent care is needed for sports- or activity-related injuries in the evenings or on weekends when Ohio State Orthopedic Urgent Care isn’t open, or you’re in closer proximity to any of our Advanced Urgent Care locations, we can provide the same high level of orthopedic urgent care and diagnostics, including X-rays.
- Both have on-site, high-quality durable medical goods so you can leave with the medically assisted device you need, such as crutches, splints and boots.
- Both can schedule follow-up appointments with an orthopedic or sports medicine specialist, and in some cases, physical therapy.
- Ohio State Urgent Care is for non-life-threatening conditions requiring urgent attention but not serious enough to go to the emergency department, saving you time and money.

Ohio State Express Care is by appointment only and is staffed by highly qualified nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
- We diagnose and treat less urgent conditions such as ear infections, flu, strep throat or pink eye.
- We can also write prescriptions if medically appropriate.
- Express Care is also a good option when your primary care provider isn’t immediately available, or if you don’t have one. Schedule an appointment online to be seen at one of our many convenient Express Care locations.
