Going cashless and checkless is safer, cleaner (cash being touched by many people harbors germs and viruses) and more efficient for our patients, visitors and staff.
Patients and visitors have used cash and checks less frequently over the past several years. This is due to impacts of the global pandemic as well as changes in payment habits across The Ohio State University. More patients and visitors now use credit/debit cards and digital wallets due to their safety and convenience. Reducing the amount of cash and checks also reduces the chance of loss or theft.
