Outpatient Care Gahanna houses a neurology clinic as well as JamesCare Mammography Services. Other medical services provided at this location include primary care, wound care, podiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, cardiac, mental and behavioral health, physical therapy and rheumatology.

You don't need to be a current or former patient of Ohio State to use AfterHours Care. However, if you have established an electronic medical record at Ohio State (OSUMyChart), your visit will be documented in your record for your other Ohio State physicians to review.

Cardiovascular Risk Reduction and Lipid Clinic

At Ohio State’s Cardiovascular Risk Reduction and Lipid Clinic, we design individualized care plans to help you meet your cholesterol and lipid management goals. Treatment plans may include a combination of lifestyle modification coaching and management of medications.

The goal of our clinic is to reduce the instances of disease caused by an abnormally high amount of lipids in the blood, including heart attacks and strokes. Our team consists of cardiologists and pharmacists with specialty training and certification in lipid management.

The clinic specializes in:

  • Cardiovascular event risk reduction
  • Advanced risk assessment through laboratory testing
  • Screening and management of medication intolerances that may worsen conditions
  • Heart attack and stroke prevention
  • Advanced treatment options including clinical trials and LDL apheresis
  • Positive lifestyle modifications
  • Review of previous medications, current medications and the potential for interactions
